Kristie Fink is a recognized leader and advocate in the field of character education and prosocial learning and is the former executive director of the Utah Coalition for Civic, Character and Servive Learning and for Community of Caring in Washington, D.C., where she worked for Eunice Kennedy Shriver and the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Foundation. She served on the executive board of The Character Education Partnership and currently serves on the Education Advisory Council. She is the first person to serve as a full-time Character Education Specialist in a State Department of Education. Kristie was the 2014 recipient of the Sanford N.. McDonnell Lifetime Achievement in Character Education award, and received the Torchbearer award from the Utah Commission on Civic and Character Education in 2012. She is the Co-Editor and author, with Jonathan Cohen and Sean Slade of the book Integrating Prosocial Learning Into Education Standards, published by Routledge.
